The
Huari Empire settled down in this zone and they extend
until Cusco. Pachacutec was the Inca governor and later
Pachacutec baptized it with the name of Huamanga, when
founding the conquerors called it San Juan of the Border.
On 1825 Simon Bolivar called it Ayacucho in memory of
the battle of the same named that was at the Pampa
de la Quinua.
Ayacucho a nice mountain city conserves their colonial
constructions since the colonial periods, famous for
their Eastern Holliday celebrations, beautiful temples,
mansions of diverse popular art, as a result of the
mixture of the native and colonial.
Access:
By plane only from Lima and from Cusco (only eventually).
By highway from Lima and Cusco, in a modern highway
(Runner of the Liberators).
Programs and Services
BASE PROGRAM:
1st Day: Reception and
transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon we will visit
tourist places of the city between them: colonial mansions,
churches, museums, handcraft stores, Bay window of the
city. Lodging.
2nd Day: Tour to the Wari
archaeological complex, ancient capital of the Empire
with the same name, with stone structures of three superposed
floors, an aqueduct, underground passages, amphitheatre,
thresholds made up of great flat stone blocks. Then
visit the town of Quinua, inhabited basically by potters
who offer their products to their visitors, finally
and after arriving to Ayacucho we will stop at La Pampa
de la Quinua, place of Ayacucho Battle. Night
3rd Day: Transfer from
the hotel to the airport or station.

HUANCA CITY
Zone of countrysides and natural andscapes, we will
also visit the Church of Redemptorist Priests the only
one of gothic style, Head Church, a small archaeological-historic
museum, factory of liquors, etc.

FOREST OF DE PUYAS OF RAYMONDI
(TITANKAYOQ)
Located at 120 Kms to the southeastern of Ayacucho city,
The Puyas of Raymondi occupy an extension of more than
400 hectares and has more than 120,000 plants. The Puya
is a bromeliaceus plant that can reach a height of 14
m. and is the maximum exponent of the Andean flora.
