native cattle). The Andean mans hand has contributed
with the andenerías (cultivation
platforms of pre-Columbus civilizations) giving its
final touch to this wonderful masterpiece.

COTAHUASI CANYON
4 days - 2 nights
1st Day: We will go through
the Majes Valley passing by the Corire, Aplao, and Chuquibamba
localities and the slopes of the Coropuna volcano. We
will ascend up to 4.500 m observing the Solimana Volcano.
Night at Cotahuasi.
2nd Day: Visit to the
eastern side of the Cotahuasi Valley where the traditional
towns of Alca, Tomepampa, Toro are located as well as
the Luicho thermal baths. We may observe churches from
the Colonial period.
3rd Day: Walk through
the deep canyon crossing hanging bridges and narrow
paths on the river shore. We will reach the Sipia Watefalls.
From the deepest canyon, we may observe the huge natural
parts that form the deepest canyon, we may observe the

world. We may also observe the majestic flight of condors.
4th Day: While we return
to Arequipa, we will visit the Majes Stone Castles and
the Toro Muerto rock formations.

CLIMBING THE MISTI VOLCANO
2 days - 1 nights
The climbing of the Volcano does not require technical
knowledge since it does not have a high degree of difficulty.
It is necessary to be in good health and good shape.
1st Day: We will leave
Arequipa by the Cayma road. Going FORWARD through the
sides of the Chachani Volcano, we will arrive at the
Pampa Cañahuas-Aguada Blanca Reserve, where we
will start our walk reaching the Misti surroundings.
We will approximately reach the 4.600 m. Camping.
2nd Day: We will start
our walk toward the volcano peak very early. The climbing
is very slow due to the height and the slope. Once we
reach the peak, we will be rewarded by an amazing landscape,
such as volcanoes, snowcapped mountains, the Misti crater
and the Iron Cross on its top. We will start the descent
(approximately 4 hours) to reach the reserve area, where
our vehicle will be waiting to take us back to Arequipa.
