PACAYA SAMIRIA
It is located at 300 km from Iquitos. The Great Pacaya Samiria National Reserve is the largest of Peru. It comprises an area of 2.1 millions of hectares; it is the second of the Amazon Hollow and the fourth in South America. Being a wet tropical wood, it is the home of animals that are in danger of extinction as well as of botanical diversity of invaluable worth. Due to its location and extension, Pacaya Samiria has an ecological and genetic representation of the natural resources.

PACAYA SAMIRIA: THE MIRROR JUNGLE
5 days - 4 nights

1st Day: Upon arrival at Iquitos, we will be taken to the wharf. We will leave on an express boat toward the Amazon Tambo Lodge(Yarapa River). Visit to the Macaw Collpa. Night excursion, night at the Lodge.
2nd Day: We will leave very early to watch the birds. We will continue our journey to the Reserve through the Amazonas and Marañón Rivers. We will reach the entrance to the Yanayacu-Pucate River going as far as the Season House. Visit to the Cocha Huaylla, where we will watch pink and gray dolphins. We will spend the night at the Season House.
3rd Day: Sunrise tour to the Buenos Aires sacarita. We will continue our journey through the Yanayacu River reaching the Japan Lake. We will visit the Japan Cocha well known for its fish fauna. We will have a boat trip through the Yanaquillo Ravine. We will spend the night in tents.
4th Day: At sunrise we will visit the Dead Lake, where we will watch a diversity of birds, monkeys, caimans, snakes, turtles, etc. Visit to Yarina, which is one of the few towns in the Reserve area. We will have the opportunity to learn the inhabitants’ customs and to listen to their local language. Excursion to Pona Cocha to practice rudimentary fishing with arrows. We will sleep at the camp.
5th Day : After breakfast, we will start direct journey back to Iquitos. Transportation in Iquitos.
